Quick guide
- Select the Gregorian birth date and reference date, which initially defaults to today.
- Read the age on the reference date and days to the birthday. On the birthday itself, the count is zero.
- If the zodiac result matters for a traditional event, compare it with a source that applies the relevant lunar-new-year convention.

Keep the birth date fixed and change the reference date from the day before the birthday to the birthday; age should increase by one and days remaining should become zero.

Know the limits
The animal uses a simple Gregorian birth-year cycle. February 29 birthdays use March 1 in non-leap years for this display. This is not a legal-age, traditional zodiac, medical, or lunar-birthday tool.
