Quick guide
- Enter the bill amount to which the tip applies, the tip percentage, and the number of people.
- Review the tip amount and final total, then read the per-person share.
- Round to the currency's payable unit and assign any remainder so the individual payments still sum to the total.

A bill of 100 with a 10% tip split by two should show a tip of 10, total of 110, and 55 per person.
LIMITS
Know the limits
The tool assumes an equal split and does not separate itemized orders, pre-tax tipping customs, coupons, or service charges. Whole-number display rounding can leave a one-unit remainder.

Should I calculate the tip on the pre-tax or after-tax amount?
Customs differ. Enter the pre-tax subtotal if that is your chosen basis, or enter the final taxed amount when tipping on the full bill.
