Limits
Know the limits
Canvas re-encoding can remove EXIF location and camera data and some color-profile information. JPEG composites transparent areas onto white, and multiple frames from animated images are not retained.

Why does lowering the quality slider have little effect on PNG output?
PNG is normally lossless and does not use the same quality parameter as JPEG or WebP. Choose a lossy WebP or JPG output when a smaller file matters more than exact pixels.
Does my data leave this device?
